Delete your account

App account

This is the account the Constian app creates for your tasks and your sign. If you still have the app installed, you can delete it yourself:

1. Open the Constian app.
2. Go to You.
3. Choose Delete my account.
4. Confirm. The erasure happens immediately.

This erases your own tasks, your profile and your email address from our servers, and returns any paired sign to its unpaired state. The sign itself keeps working as a piece of hardware and can be set up again from scratch. There is no recovery period, so please be sure.

Two things to know about shared spaces. Tasks you created in a shared space stay with that space when your account goes, so the people still there are not left with holes in their history. And a space that nobody else is in is deleted along with your account; the app names it in the confirmation before you agree.

If you are the only owner of a space that other people are still in, the app will ask you to hand it over or delete it first. We will not leave a room full of people with nobody holding the keys.

If you no longer have the app installed

Email support@constian.com from the email address on the account, or send the same request through our contact form. Say that you want your account deleted and we will do it for you. If you never added an email address, include the id of your sign instead if you have it. It starts with CONS. If you have neither, write to us anyway and we will work it out with you.

We complete these within 30 days and confirm by email when it is done.

Store account

This is the separate login used to buy a sign on constian.com and see your orders. Sign in, open the Account page, and choose Delete account. If you cannot sign in, email us and we will handle it.

What we keep

Deleting your app account removes all of it. Nothing about your tasks, settings, or email is retained.

Deleting your store account removes your login, your customer record, and your payment-processor profile, and strips personal details from past orders. The order records themselves are kept in anonymized form because accounting and tax rules require it. Anonymized here means the record can no longer be traced back to you.

Clearing things out without deleting your account

There is no single button that wipes your history and leaves the account standing. Tasks are deleted one at a time, from the task itself, and you have a few seconds to undo it if you did not mean it.

To detach a sign without touching your account, open it in Settings and choose Release. That factory resets the sign, clearing its Wi-Fi details and its link to you, and leaves it ready for whoever sets it up next. Your account, your email and your tasks are untouched.
